Martin Gray - Chairman BCIP

Martin Gray - Chairman of BCIPMartin is Chairman of BCIP responsible for overseeing the business.

He has been involved with the London Insurance market for over thirty years.

His experience spans insurance underwriting and broking companies gaining experience in the insurance market, the Merrett Group and the role of Managing Director of Anton and Pulbrook Managing Agencies in 1989/90.

He was with Stewart Syndicates Limited as Managing Director and was appointed Chief Executive of Stewart Underwriting plc,the holding company.

He established Farrant Insurance Services Limited in 1996 and was appointed Chairman. The company was acquired by Hampden Plc in January 1998 and Martin was appointed a director of Hampden Plc, and various Hampden subsidiaries.

During 1998, he designed the structure and wrote the strategic and business plans for Heritage Underwriting Agency Plc, creating and managing a project group whose objectives were to establish a new managing agency at Lloyd's.

In addition to his role of Chairman of BCIP, in 2003 he established Langton Advisory Services Limited, a company which looks after his directorships.

He then established Amalfi Holdings Limited in 2004 which is a holding company of a speciality lines MGA insurance operation, of which he is Chairman.

In June 2004 he became involved with i-mob plc, a vehicle tracking company, of which he is a non-executive director.
